CHANGE STRATEGIES
Diversity management is a strategic process and a critical element of successful, long-range business objectives. Done well, it is inseparable from quality and performance excellence. It doesnt have to be complicated. It should be complete. You can be sure its covered with these key services.
System-wide Change
Jody Alyn Consulting uses a series of steps to guide your organization through successful, system-wide change. We start by assessing where you are now and where you want to be, then help you set your direction and plan your course. Implementation focuses on four essential ACTS that work together for change: accountability, communication, training and systems alignment. The key word here is ACTS. Change is active.
Within each area, we emphasize leadership, action planning, skill development and behavioral change. We also teach you how to evaluate your progress. Our goal is for diversity to become an internally directed process of continual learning and improvement for your organization.

"When Jody began her affiliation with the City of Colorado Springs, the Citys diversity initiative was floundering and unfocused
. It was her vision, plan, guidance and perseverance that got us to where we are today. Over the past couple of years, our accomplishments have been outstanding."
-Lorne C. Kramer, Former City Manager and
Chief of Police, City of Colorado Springs

Diversity Leadership
Tension may come with this topic. It can be tempting to avoid the tough stuff even when we know conflict has creative value. How do we implement inclusive solutionsand do it right, from the startso that we reap the best advantages for our organizations and the people in them?
We start with personal leadership. Cultures change when each of us takes personal responsibility for making things different. Its actually pretty simple
AND it takes courage.
Organizations dont change. People change them.
| "Jody has extraordinary talents in the
areas of planning, training and communicating. I believe,
though, her greatest ability is in setting a vision that can be
understood and then establishing a logical plan of action to achieve
the desired results."
-Paul D. Butcher, Director
Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, City of Colorado Springs

1) Executive development. With interviews and coaching, we prepare executives and managers with the expertise to create a clear message of inclusion, model the message and establish a plan for assuring successful change.
| “Ms. Alyn’s organizational,
administrative, networking and communication skills contributed
to the unprecedented growth and success of Food For Thought Gatherings
(FFTG). Ms. Alyn understands the team concept in an organizational
setting and used this asset to foster harmony, growth and focus
at each level within the organization.”
-Thomas J. Bennett, Jr. Past Board President, FFTG
President/CEO, International Provider Services

2) Leadership council development. Dedicating a team of employees to define and carry out diversity actions can be a powerful strategy. To be effective, this group must have knowledge of what needs to change and the power to change it. We build your team to provide credible diversity leadership and create effective partnerships.
